With everything happening in the world, I often find myself thinking about this info comic I created a while ago.
Despite the vast array of religions, beliefs, and cultures across the globe, aren’t all humans ultimately guided by a similar set of core values? According to the study I reference below, it seems they are.
What’s interesting, though, is how even within these seven moral rules, the emphasis tends to fall on the word “your” — your family, your group. The scope of these principles appears to be limited to one’s immediate circle.
Perhaps what we’re missing — especially in times like these — are moral guidelines that extend beyond ourselves, that help shape how we relate to others outside our circle.
E ainda assim tão poucos de nós seguimos as 7 regras que defendemos né?!
